Backstabber by Perreault Backstabber by Perreault
Backstabber

Hello all. To celebrate my fandom as a major Bruce Springsteen fan and a Sonic Underground fan, I'm making parody album covers of Sonic Underground albums based on Bruce Springsteen's albums. I've wanted to do this for a while. Sure I did a parody of "Born To Run" a long time ago, but I want to use my NEW and IMPROVED style to draw the albums right. So, finally, I got off my lazy butt and decided to do the album-parodies I've always wanted to do. I may even do the backs of them when I get the time, including the songs... that would seem cool, eh?

Also, notice their names... Sonic (5 letters) Underground (11 letters) ... Bruce (5 letters) Springsteen (11 letters) and, believe me, I can easily see Sonic as Bruce Springsteen himself... can you? Be honest!

This is the fifteenth album. This one is based off of Bruce Springsteen's "Magic" album. Bruce grew up in the 60's when Vietnam was going on. He opposed the Vietnam War mainly because the drummer of his first band, Bart Haynes of the Castiles, was killed in Vietnam. Today, we're living in the same time period, only the new Vietnam is called Iraq. This album is about Bruce opposing the war in Iraq, singing songs like "Who will be the last to die for a mistake, the last to die for a mistake, who's blood will spill, who's heart will break, who'll be the last to die for a mistake." To be honest... I agree with Bruce.

For Sonic Underground, I tried to find a song that was just one word, so I found "Backstabber." Plus, hear the title of the song, sound like the kind of song Sonic would feel in a war he doesn't think we belong in.

Art-wise, this was difficult because of the new technology of Photoshop to make album covers are making the more recent albums hard to make. I pulled it off though, hope you all like it.

Well, enjoy "Backstabber"

I'm getting weary of constantly commenting (especially since I'm blowing off studying for final exams) so I'm going to save us both some time by just sending the Allmusic link. [link]
